Cornishware

Collection: Cornishware

Cornishware in this collection includes pieces from T. G. Green Ltd., Staffordshire, Johnson Brothers and more.

The original Cornishware, according to research by Dr Iain Hambling, traces the design back to 1923. By the 1930s Cornishware was well known and well loved. An early advertisement from 1938 compared the design to ‘Blue of the Atlantic – White of the Cornish clouds – Glisten of the Sea’. The glossy glaze and precise finish from the turning process, have given Cornishware a lasting appeal for almost 100 years. Pieces are highly collectible.
