A Currency Change

When we launched WithAPast back in 2015, the world of online sales was much different than it is today. The US dollar was the currency that many retailers chose to use, both because it was an online standard and it made things simpler for both sellers and shoppers.

With advances in web development that make currency conversions much easier for end users, we've been considering for months changing our listing currency and pricing to better reflect that we are a Canadian company.

The timing is right as we celebrate our 10th anniversary and we watch with interest possible changes in the US to add new tariffs on goods imported from Canada. This change to our listed currency will reduce upfront costs for US customers while reducing the sticker shock our Canadian customers see with the constantly changing conversion rate. We're hopeful that our International customers will also see a price reduction on the cost of items listed in our catalogue.
