Jenny Lind 1795, Creamer & Covered Sugar Bowl, Royal Staffordshire Pottery

Beautiful ironstone creamer jug and covered sugar bowl from Royal Staffordshire Pottery, in the Jenny Lind 1795 pattern. Circa 1930's-1940's. White background with deep pink or red imagery. Both pieces are in very good, vintage condition and show little signs of use. There is a chip on the bottom edge of the creamer and both pieces do have visible crazing. Made in England.

Jenny Lind was a Swedish opera singer, and one of the most highly regarded singers of the 19th century.

Royal Staffordshire's Jenny Lind pattern was very popular. It was an early 1900's replica of a pattern produced in the mid 1800's by the Meigh family of potters at the Old Hall Works in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent. The '1795' in the pattern name refers to the start of the original Meigh family pottery.
