Lucy Qinnuayuak, Cape Dorset, Nunavut, Canada (1915-1982)
Lucy Qinnuayuak is a well known Inuit graphic artist. She is best known for her for illustrations of the bird image. This piece is in a metal frame, under glass but the framing is loose and will need to be replaced. In excellent, vintage condition.
The following is printed on bottom left side of image, under the matting. "Reproduced by Rolph-Clark-Stone Limited with Kind Permission of the West Baffin Eskimo Cooperative."
This item has been appraised and a Valuation Certificate is available upon request.
