Jenny Lind 1795, Gravy Boat and Under Plate, Royal Staffordshire Pottery

Beautiful ironstone gravy boat and underplate, Royal Staffordshire Pottery in the Jenny Lind 1795 pattern. Circa 1930's-1940's. White background with deep pink or red imagery. Both underplate and gravy boat are in good, vintage condition and show little signs of use. No chips, cracks or damage however both pieces do have visable crazing. Made in England.

Jenny Lind was a Swedish opera singer, and one of the most highly regarded singers of the 19th century. 

Royal Staffordshire Jenny Lind pattern was very popular. It was an early 1900's replica of a pattern produced in the mid 1800's by the Meigh family of potters at the Old Hall Works in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent. The '1795' in the pattern name refers to the start of the original Meigh family pottery.
