Beautiful ironstone covered butter dish from J&G Meakin, Royal Staffordshire in the Blue Willow pattern. Both plate and cover are in very good, vintage condition and show little signs of use. There are a few sand type spots on the plate which appear to manufacturing/glazing flaws.

These serving pieces are part of a larger complete dinner set containing eight, six piece place settings and other serving pieces.  This set was produced in the 1970's and the pattern has been discontinued. Made in England. Dishwasher safe.

Blue Willow, an ever popular china pattern, has been in continuous production for over 215 years. This classic, beautiful pattern is made all the more interesting by the Legend of the Willow Plate.
